At the heart of the San Clemente project is a design approach that embraces the rhythm of coastal living. From the start, we considered how the home’s natural surroundings could shape the experience of each space. The ocean breeze, shifting sunlight, and soft textures of the landscape guided our choices, ensuring a seamless flow between indoors and out. A sun-drenched lounge, an intimate firepit, and a well-appointed outdoor kitchen create distinct destinations, each designed for connection, whether it’s gathering with friends or unwinding in solitude.
Materiality plays a key role in grounding the space in its environment. A curated mix of limestone, wood, and plaster creates a sense of warmth and permanence, while a layered plant palette of structured greens and soft grasses brings movement and ease. Every detail was chosen with intention, from the woven textures that nod to the coastal setting to the subtle transitions that make outdoor living feel effortless. This project reflects our belief that landscapes should feel both natural and lived-in, evolving with the home and the people who bring it to life.
