Construction Project Manager

Our company is looking for a Costa Mesa Based Construction Project Manager to join our team. Oversee multiple construction projects from conception to completion. Develop comprehensive plans, monitor progress, and manage subcontractors. Collaborate with design team, ensure budget adherence, and maintain client satisfaction. Responsibilities & Objectives of this Role:

Oversee and manage multiple landscape construction projects from conception to completion
Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, including detailed work breakdown structures and critical path analysis. Monitor progress against established milestones and adjust schedules as needed to meet project goals.
Upload project information, in real time, to project management site
Manage subcontractors on the construction site, ensuring their work aligns with project plans and specifications. Facilitate effective collaboration and coordinate change orders when required. Understand Garden Studio Design intent and verify site measurements, materials, and features are reflected accurately from approved plan set
Collaborate with internal Garden Studio Design team to order materials for project, if needed
Ensure project adheres to allotted budget.
Monitor project costs and expenses, identify cost variances, and implement corrective action plans as necessary to ensure adherence to established budgets.
Manage RFPs and perform bid cost comparison analysis for sub-contractors using project budget
Manage and maintain project checklists
Work with internal crews, sub-contractors, and estimating department to develop and submit change orders, when required
Assist with weekly construction billing/invoicing
Understand plant material, soil types, and landscape construction methods including grading and gas, electrical, drainage, and irrigation systems
Provide clients with daily updates of project’s status and manage client expectations
Obtain necessary building permits and approvals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and building codes.
Coordinate final walk through with clients and complete project close-out checklist

Required Qualifications:

Highschool degree
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Clean driving record
2-4 years’ experience in construction project management
General understanding of electrical, masonry, plumbing
Experience calculating material volumes
Proven experience in construction project management, with a track record of successfully overseeing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) with aptitude to learn new software and systems
Creative problem solver
Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done; adaptable and enjoys a challenge
